Frequently Asked Questions – toddler booties (12–24 months)

Are these booties suitable for toddlers who are already walking?

Our toddler booties are perfect for crawling, standing, and the first steps indoors. They are soft and flexible but do not have an anti-slip sole. For outdoor use or intensive walking, we recommend real walking shoes.

Do the booties stay on well?

Yes. Thanks to the longer cuff and the subtle drawstring, they fit nicely around the ankle area. This helps them stay on better, even with active toddlers.

Is Merinowool not too warm?

No. Merinowool regulates body temperature. That means: warm when cold, but also breathable in milder temperatures. The little feet remain comfortable without feeling clammy.

Does Merinowool itch?

Our booties are made from fine, soft Merinowool that is suitable for sensitive children's skin. The fibers are supple and soft, not stiff or irritating.

How do I wash the booties?

Merinowool has a self-cleaning ability and does not need to be washed often. Simply airing them out is usually sufficient.

If they do need washing, hand wash in lukewarm water or use a wool program with wool detergent. Lay flat to dry.

Can they pill?

Merinowool is a natural material and light pilling can occur with friction. This is normal and does not reflect on the quality. You can easily remove fuzz with a wool comb to keep the booties looking nice.

Are the booties suitable as a maternity gift?

Absolutely. They are timeless, practical, and made from natural materials. A gift that is truly used.

Merino wool is a natural, self-cleaning material. Only wash when absolutely necessary.

Washing instructions

  • Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water (max. 30 °C)
  • Use a mild wool detergent
  • Do not soak, wring or rub – gently move the water around
  • After rinsing, gently squeeze out the water, do not spin
  • Let it dry flat on a towel, out of direct sunlight and heat sources

Usage never use fabric softener: many babies' skins are sensitive to this, and it also affects the natural fat layer (lanolin) of the wool.

With this care, the wool will remain supple, soft and beautiful for years to come.

Toddler booties made of 100% merinowool – 12–24 months

For the first real steps. For crawling, climbing, and discovering.

Our merinowool toddler booties in size 12–24 months are specially designed for active little ones. The sole is longer and sturdier than the newborn version, so they stay comfortable while your toddler explores the world.

Made from 100% merinowool — a natural material that keeps warm without overheating.

Available in:

  • Beige

  • Denim

  • Lavender

  • Pink

Why do parents choose merinowool booties for their toddler?

As a neonatal nurse, I know how important temperature regulation is — even after the baby stage. Toddlers still regulate their temperature less well than adults.

Merinowool helps with that:

  • Thermoregulating – keeps feet warm in winter and comfortable in spring

  • Breathable – prevents clammy feet

  • Soft on the skin – no itchy wool

  • Stays in place well – thanks to the knitted cuff and drawstring closure

  • Natural material – without synthetic fibers

Specially designed for 12–24 months

The toddler version has:

  • A longer sole

  • More space at the instep

  • Extra freedom of movement

  • A higher cuff so they don’t slip down

Perfect for indoors, in the stroller, or on the go.

About pilling (fuzz)

Because merinowool is a natural product, slight pilling can occur in areas of friction. This is normal and does not reflect on the quality.

With our wool comb you can easily remove fuzz and keep the booties looking nice.

Founder Note

"I don't believe in fleeting trends or the abundance of plastic in the nursery. Our collection was born from a practical need: items that do what they're supposed to do, without compromising your child's health.

Natural fibers are key here. Synthetic materials often seal against the skin, while merino wool and cashmere breathe and regulate temperature. This prevents overheating and irritation, which is essential for healthy sleep.

No harmful chemicals, no unnecessary details, and no flashy colors. Only the finest materials that last for years and retain their value. Honest textiles that contribute to a healthy start, without any fuss.
