Why don't the socks have non-slip soles?
This is a deliberate choice. Anti-slip properties would be detrimental to the natural material. Moreover, merino wool is naturally less slippery than cotton or synthetics. The socks are intended as warm foot protection indoors and in the stroller, not as walking shoes.

Can the slippers be washed in the washing machine?
Merino wool cleans itself. Hang the socks regularly in a damp place. You can hand wash them if necessary.
