Born from love, built on years of caring for babies

Welcome to Moalie . A Dutch baby brand that starts with knowledge, care, and respect for what a baby needs in the first, vulnerable phase of life.

We work with the softest natural materials, like merino wool and cashmere, because what a baby wears directly impacts their comfort, temperature, and sense of security. At Moalie, security isn't just a marketing buzzword; it's a fundamental principle.

Daniëlle Kempers – neonatal nurse and founder of Moalie

A lifetime of working with babies

Moalie was founded by Daniëlle Kempers , a neonatal nurse and baby coach with more than 28 years of experience in caring for newborn babies and their parents.

During those years, she worked in neonatology, among other places, where she cared daily for newborns, premature babies, and babies with complex care needs. It was there that she became aware of the importance of rest, closeness, and temperature for a baby's well-being and development.

Specialization, training and knowledge sharing

In addition to her clinical experience, Daniëlle further specialized in infant behavior, sensory processing, and feeding problems in young babies. She is a certified Happiest Baby Trainer and has provided training and refresher courses for organizations including:

  • maternity nurses and maternity care professionals
  • nurses in youth health care (JGZ)
  • hospitals and children's wards

In addition, she was regularly called upon by child health clinics when additional expertise was required for crying babies, sleep and feeding problems such as bottle refusal and bottle aversion.

This knowledge and experience form the substantive basis of everything Moalie does.

Where healthcare knowledge and materials come together

From her work, Daniëlle knows how sensitive baby skin is and how important a stable body temperature and gentle touch are. That's why Moalie translates her care expertise into high-quality knitwear and baby products that support babies instead of burdening them.

Soft, breathable and designed for real life with a baby.

More than just baby clothes

Besides baby clothes and blankets, Daniëlle also develops e-books and practical guides for parents. These are inspired by the same questions she heard for years in healthcare: What is normal? What does my baby need? And how do I find peace again?

The e-books and support within Moalie help parents better understand their babies, with clear explanations about crying, sleeping, feeding, and fussiness. Always informed, without judgment.

Recognized, but always with both feet on the ground

The combination of care, quality, and aesthetics did not go unnoticed. Moalie was featured in several issues of British Vogue and was featured at the international children's clothing fair Pitti Bimbo in Florence.

For Moalie, these are not endpoints, but confirmations: when care and design come together, something truly meaningful is created.

Designed for real life with a baby

As a healthcare professional and mother, Daniëlle understands how intense the first few months can be. That's why Moalie focuses on comfort, simplicity, and trust, not perfection.

Moalie is there for parents who want to make choices based on knowledge, peace and respect for the very smallest beginnings.
