Our merino/cashmere hats are specially designed for the very littlest ones. Thanks to the turn-up brim, you can adjust the hat's height, making size S suitable from birth – even for premature babies. The combination of merino wool and cashmere makes the hat wonderfully soft, breathable, and temperature-regulating: warm in winter and airy in summer.
The hats are available in four timeless colours – Sienna, Sage, Cream and Grey – and in three sizes:

"Op de neonatologie zie ik het nog steeds: baby's van twee kilo met een mutsje dat tot over hun ogen zakt. Een mutsje dat niet past, beschermt niet — het laat warmte ontsnappen precies waar je dat niet wilt. Dit mutsje past goed vanaf 2 kilogram. Dat is geen detail. Dat is het punt."
Ja — en dat is precies waarom we het hebben ontworpen. V
eel mutsjes zijn te groot voor een pasgeborene, waardoor warmte kan ontsnappen via de open ruimte onder de rand.
Dit mutsje past goed vanaf de geboorte, ook bij baby's van rond de 2 kilogram. De brede boord is verstelbaar, zodat het hoofdje altijd goed afgesloten is.
Wol- of handwasprogramma, max. 30°C. Niet in de droger. Liggend drogen op een handdoek. Luchten na gebruik is bijna altijd voldoende — merinowol is van nature zelfreinigend.
NB: Het mutsje hoeft niet van tevoren gewassen te worden.
Een echte wol-allergie is zeldzaam. Wat mensen vaak ervaren als allergie is irritatie door grove wolvezels.
Merinowol heeft een veel fijnere vezel en veroorzaakt die irritatie niet.
Bij een vastgestelde lanoline-allergie raden we aan om een arts te raadplegen.

Merinowol is zelfreinigend en hoeft niet vaak gewassen te worden. Mocht het toch nodig zijn dan het liefst handwas, en laat plat drogen. (Lees hier ons blog over het wassen van wol)
