Een pasgeboren baby verliest veel warmte via het hoofdje. Zeker in de eerste weken, als het lijfje nog moet leren zijn eigen temperatuur te regelen, is een goed mutsje geen overbodige luxe.
Deze chunky beanie is gebreid van 90% merinowol en 10% cashmere, in Chiffon Yellow: een zacht, licht geel. Warm en vol in het breisel, en toch soepel en zacht op de huid.

Warm zonder te broeien
Merinowol ademt. Het houdt warmte vast als het koud is en voert vocht af als je baby het warm krijgt. Zo blijft het hoofdje op temperatuur, binnen en buiten.
Zacht op een gevoelige huid
Fijne merinovezels met een aandeel cashmere kriebelen niet. Ook niet op het dunne huidje van een newborn.
Omslagrand die meegroeit
Met de omgeslagen rand bepaal je zelf hoe diep het mutsje zit. Daardoor past maat S al vanaf de geboorte, ook bij prematuren, en blijft hij de eerste maanden goed zitten.

Nee. Merinowol reguleert temperatuur: het houdt warmte vast als het koud is en ademt als het warmer wordt. Je baby blijft comfortabel, zonder te zweten.
Past maat S bij een pasgeboren baby?
Ja. Door de omslagrand kun je het mutsje kleiner maken, zodat het ook bij een newborn of prematuur goed aansluit.
Kriebelt wol niet?
Grove wol kan kriebelen. Merinowol en cashmere hebben zulke fijne vezels dat ze zacht aanvoelen, ook op een gevoelige babyhuid.

Merino wool is self-cleaning and doesn't need frequent washing. If it is necessary, hand wash it and let it dry flat. (Read our blog post about washing wool here .)
