Is merino wool soft enough for a newborn baby?
Yes. Merino wool has a fiber thickness of less than 20 microns — finer than most cotton fabrics and well below the threshold where wool itches. Combined with cashmere, this material is specially suited for the most sensitive skin of a newborn. I use it myself in my neonatal practice as a recommendation for parents looking for breathable, non-irritating material.
How do I wash the set?
At 30°C with a mild wool detergent, by hand or on the wool program. Dry flat — never tumble dry. The pieces will stay beautiful for years and retain their color and shape.
