Als neonatologieverpleegkundige heb ik generaties pasgeboren baby's zien aankomen. Wat een newborn nodig heeft is geen trend — het is warmte, zachtheid en een gevoel van geborgenheid. Dat is wat deze set biedt.

Is dit een geschikt kraamcadeau voor een meisje?

Dit is precies waarvoor de Pink set is samengesteld. Alles zit erin, de verpakking is cadeauwaardig en de Memory Box geeft het een betekenis die verder gaat dan de eerste weken. Je hoeft niets toe te voegen.

Is merino wol zacht genoeg voor een pasgeboren baby?

Ja. Merino wol heeft een vezeldikte van minder dan 20 micron — fijner dan de meeste katoenen stoffen en ver onder de drempelwaarde waarbij wol prikt. Gecombineerd met cashmere is dit materiaal speciaal geschikt voor de gevoeligste huid van een newborn. Ik gebruik het zelf in mijn neonatologiepraktijk als aanbeveling voor ouders die zoeken naar ademend, niet-prikkelend materiaal.

Hoe was ik de set?

Op 30°C met een mild wolwasmiddel, met de hand of op het wolprogramma. Plat drogen — nooit in de droger. De stukken blijven zo jaren mooi en behouden hun kleur en vorm.

Wat is de Signature Memory Box?

Een luxe bewaardoos met magnetische sluiting, ontworpen om te bewaren. Nu voor de set — later voor de kleine dingen die je niet wilt vergeten: het geboortekaartje, het polsbandje uit het ziekenhuis, de eerste foto. De box is cadeau bij elke set.

Is de set geschikt voor vroeggeboren baby's?

De maat is newborn (0–3 maanden, voor baby's van ±3,5 kg). Voor premature baby's adviseer ik contact op te nemen — we denken graag mee over de juiste maat en materialen.

Kan ik de set ook als kraamcadeau voor een jongen geven?

Pink is onze warmste, meest romantische tint en wordt het meest gekozen voor meisjes. Voor een genderneutraal cadeau raden we de Stone Grey of Sienna versie aan.

Na bijna dertig jaar op de NICU weet ik dit: de kwaliteit van wat een baby draagt, voelt een baby. Merinowol is al uitzonderlijk.
