Merinowool baby and toddler vest - Beige
€49.00
Some parents only notice when the vest is taken off. That their baby was a little calmer, a little less quickly dissatisfied. That the day went more smoothly. Merinowool does that — not by adding something, but by maintaining exactly the right balance.
This vest is the layer your baby wears over a romper or bodysuit, both indoors and on the go. Light enough not to restrict. Warm enough to make a difference.
What merinowool does for your baby
A baby does not yet regulate body temperature like an adult does. That means the environment — and the clothing — play an active role. Merinowool adapts: when it is warm, the fabric wicks away moisture. When it gets cooler, the wool retains the heat.
The result is a more constant feeling of comfort — fewer stimuli, less restlessness.
Soft enough for the most sensitive skin
Merino fibers are so fine that they do not itch. They bend with the skin instead of pressing against it. For babies with sensitive skin or eczema, this is not a minor detail — it is precisely why this vest is made from this quality wool and not a cheaper alternative.
Size 98/104 with pockets
As a child grows, their needs change. That is why the largest size is equipped with pockets — a small detail that has great practical value for toddlers who want to take everything with them.

Frequently asked questions
Can merinowool be worn in summer?
Yes. Merinowool is not a winter fabric — it regulates in both directions. In summer, the fabric wicks away moisture and keeps the skin dry. The vest can serve as a light layer on cooler evenings or in air-conditioned spaces.
Does this vest itch for a baby with sensitive skin?
Merino fibers are thinner than 20 microns — fine enough not to itch, even for sensitive skin. If your baby has previously reacted to wool, merinowool is usually the exception that is tolerated. When in doubt: let the vest be worn for an hour and check the skin.
What is RWS certification?
RWS stands for Responsible Wool Standard — an independent certification that checks whether the wool comes from sheep that are well treated and from farms that carefully manage land and nature. For Moalie, this is not a marketing term but a minimum requirement.
How do I style the vest?
The vest fits over any romper, bodysuit, or pajamas. Pair it with a merinowool hat for a complete, temperature-regulating layer — also on cooler days indoors or on the go.

Our pure merino wool and cashmere are so pure that they don't need to be washed before first use. The natural lanolin provides self-cleaning properties; often, a quick airing outside in the crisp morning air is enough to refresh the fibers.

Merinowool & Cashmere vs. Synthetic
Why the material makes a difference for your baby
From the NICU to your baby's nursery
Founder Note
"I don't believe in fleeting trends or the abundance of plastic in the nursery. Our collection was born from a practical need: items that do what they're supposed to do, without compromising your child's health.
Natural fibers are key here. Synthetic materials often seal against the skin, while merino wool and cashmere breathe and regulate temperature. This prevents overheating and irritation, which is essential for healthy sleep.
No harmful chemicals, no unnecessary details, and no flashy colors. Only the finest materials that last for years and retain their value. Honest textiles that contribute to a healthy start, without any fuss.
