Pointelle Snuggle Coco

The Pointelle Cocoon is intended for use under supervision — during daytime naps, in the cradle or stroller. The fine Pointelle knit is airy and breathable, preventing overheating. For nighttime, we recommend a sleeping bag.
If you still want to use the Cocoon at night, we advise folding the hoodie inward so the baby lies on it, or placing the Snuggle under the armpits.
The first weeks are neurologically the most decisive.
Physical boundaries during this period support your baby's calm and development in a way that cannot be replicated later.
Merinowool is naturally more precious than cotton — the quality and impact justify this.
A Pointelle Cocoon that is well cared for can be passed on.
The Pointelle Cocoon is closed — you place your baby inside beforehand for full coverage from head to toe.
The Bobbie has a front opening that allows you to wrap your baby while they are already asleep.
Unsure? The Bobbie is ideal if your baby wakes easily from movement. The Pointelle is perfect as a resting place in the crib or stroller.
Our pure merino wool and cashmere are so pristine that you don’t need to wash them before first use. The natural lanolin provides a self-cleaning effect — simply airing them outside in the fresh morning air is often enough to refresh the fibers.
If washing is necessary, do so by hand at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius using a wool detergent, and lay the item flat to dry to preserve its shape and texture.

Daniëlle Kempers · NICU nurse & founder of Moalie
"A newborn baby has spent nine months in a small, warm space. The transition to the outside world is significant. A cocoon that envelops them from head to toe brings back that familiar feeling — and you can immediately see how a baby calms down."
Over deze snuggle
After nearly three decades in the NICU, I learned what can help a newborn baby settle: the feeling of soft containment. Not tied down, not restricted—but contained and secure. Many babies find this comforting in the first few weeks, as it provides a familiar feeling. That principle is the foundation of the Pointelle Snuggle Coco Camel—a merino wool baby cocoon that brings that feeling of containment home.
This is not a classic swaddle sleeping bag. The Pointelle Snuggle Coco gives your baby a secure, contained feeling without a tight system—a more comfortable alternative for parents looking for a newborn cocoon or baby cocoon 0-3 months but who do not want to use a classic swaddling system. The openwork pointelle knit is light, breathable, and suitable for every season.
Designed for rest and rhythm
Soft containment — familiar and secure
The shape of the Snuggle Coco is inspired by what I saw daily in the NICU: babies become calmer when their bodies are softly contained. I sometimes call it "A womb with a view"—a protected place from which your baby can safely discover the world. Read more: why merino wool is so suitable for babies.
Fine pointelle knit in warm camel
Light, breathable, and timeless. The warm camel hue provides a rich, earthy look that pairs well with natural and sand tones. A choice with character.
Improved fit around the head
The renewed opening at the head ensures a safe, secure fit—snug without being constricting.
Open bottom for changing
The bottom is open so you can change the diaper while your baby continues to feel the contained sensation of the cocoon.

When to adjust usage
The Snuggle Coco is designed for supervised use. As soon as your baby shows signs of rolling, do not use the cocoon closed around the arms anymore. You can then use it lower around the body—or choose a suitable alternative such as a sleeping bag with free arms. Always lay your baby on their back to sleep and ensure the face remains uncovered.
Care
To maintain the delicate pointelle structure: hand wash at 30°C with wool detergent, lay flat to dry. Read our full washing guide.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Pointelle Snuggle Coco and a swaddle sleeping bag?
A classic swaddle sleeping bag restricts the arms more tightly and is intended to dampen the Moro reflex. The Pointelle Snuggle Coco gives your baby a contained, secure feeling without that tight system. Always use the cocoon under supervision and adjust usage as soon as your baby starts rolling.
Is the Pointelle Snuggle Coco suitable for summer?
Yes—the openwork pointelle knit is light and breathable. Merino wool naturally regulates body temperature: it wicks away heat when necessary. This makes the Snuggle Coco suitable all year round, also as an alternative to a summer swaddle sleeping bag.
What do I do when my baby starts rolling?
As soon as your baby shows signs of rolling, do not use the Snuggle Coco closed around the arms anymore. You can then use it lower around the body or choose a sleeping bag with free arms. In doubt? Follow the guidelines for safe sleep or discuss it with your maternity nurse.
What makes our Snuggles unique?
Designed from experience
"She sleeps so much better in the Snuggle"
"A newborn baby has spent nine months in a small, warm space. When suddenly lying freely, they are startled by their own movements. A closed cocoon restores that familiar feeling — and you can see a baby calm down almost immediately."
