Is it safe for a newborn baby to sleep in a sleeping bag?
Shower safely with your baby
Showering together is one of the most wonderful ways to bond with your baby, but in practice, it often feels awkward. A wet baby is slippery and slick, which creates unnecessary tension.
The Câlin Showertop is designed to relieve that tension. This top provides the necessary grip and support, allowing you to fully focus on the connection. Made from soft, recycled fabrics that feel instantly comfortable against your skin.
Why the Showertop Câlin is a favorite:
-
Safety first: The fabric provides natural friction, preventing your baby from slipping out of your arms.
-
Skin-to-skin contact: Promotes bonding and keeps your baby calm through your close proximity.
-
Always at the right temperature: The breathable fabric dries quickly and prevents your baby from cooling down as soon as the tap is turned off.
-
Multifunctional: Ideal for the shower, but also perfect for the beach or pool after swimming.
-
Awarded: Nominated for the Baby Innovation Award 2025 .
Fit & Size Advice
The Showertop has a generous, comfortable fit. You can use your regular T-shirt size. Tip: The top runs large. If you normally wear a medium but are unsure, choose a small. For fathers, a large is often roomy enough, even if you have a wider frame.
| Mate | Length | Width |
| S | 69 cm | 43 cm |
| M | 70 cm | 46 cm |
| L | 71 cm | 49 cm |
| XL | 72 cm | 53 cm |
Important: The Showertop Câlin is a safety and support aid, not a baby sling. Always hold your baby with at least one arm.
Experiences of other parents
"Cute pattern, lovely fabric to get wet with, and the shower top visibly stimulates skin-to-skin contact. This also works for slightly older babies like Malik. He's often very active, but because he was in the shower top, he tended to stay close to daddy more often, for example, by laying his head on his chest." - Bente
The shower top is truly a fantastic invention! My baby is now 8 days old and she loves it. She even falls asleep while showering! - Luna

Every feeding is tense. Your baby drinks too little or not at all. You have tried a lot and don’t know what else to do.
This program goes beyond the usual advice. With nearly thirty years of experience as a neonatal nurse, Daniëlle Kempers supports parents dealing with bottle refusal and bottle aversion — even with babies who have a complex history.

About Daniëlle Kempers
Daniëlle has worked as a neonatology nurse for nearly thirty years. She has supported preemies who learned to drink via a tube, babies whose bottle refusal developed after prolonged medical treatment, and families who had been stuck for months without understanding why.
"Bottle refusal is rarely stubbornness. It is an honest reaction from a baby who has learned something. My job is to find out what that is — and together with parents create the conditions in which their baby can relearn that drinking is safe."
— Daniëlle Kempers, neonatology nurse

A garment that makes a difference
There are garments you hold for a moment before dressing your child. Not because they are complicated, but because they have something — a softness, a care — that you feel even before your child wears them.
These pants are one of those.
Made of double broderie mousseline and handcrafted in the Netherlands, they have everything baby clothing should have. The fabric breathes easily and feels light on the skin, even in warmer months. The broderie — a finely woven fabric with small floral motifs — gives the pants character without feeling busy. And the ruffled edge on the legs makes it something you want to keep for years to come.
The elastic waistband is soft and stretches with your baby’s belly. No tight band, no constricting seam — just room to breathe, move, and be.
How to wear it
The pants pair beautifully with a plain white or natural romper. As shown in the photos, they look stunning with the Body Maaike romper in off white — the ruffles on the shoulders complement the light character of the broderie. The Romper Iris in pointelle cotton in oat is also a lovely match: two light, breathable fabrics that together look calm and refined.
For colder months or cooler rooms, the pants work well under the Cardigan Tulip, our knitted cotton cardigan in white. And for the feet: the merino wool Baby Bootie completes the look.
Benefits
- Double broderie mousseline — light, breathable, and soft on baby’s skin

- Soft elastic waistband that stretches gently

- Delicate broderie with floral motifs — decorative yet subtle
- Especially suitable for warm months and warm indoor temperatures

Origin: Handmade in the Netherlands
Care instructions: Max. 30°C, wash inside out, do not tumble dry, preferably dry flat
Frequently asked questions
Is this pants suitable for newborns?
Yes. Size 50 is designed for newborns, including babies born a little early. The soft elastic band does not press on the belly and the fabric is light enough for the first weeks.
How does the sizing run?
The pants fit true to size or slightly roomy. If you are unsure between two sizes, choose the larger one. Babies grow quickly, and a slightly roomier pair of pants allows more freedom of movement.
How do I wash these pants?
Wash at a maximum of 30°C, inside out, on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry. Drying flat preserves the shape and the broderie beautifully.
Can I also wear these pants in winter?
Yes, certainly with a knitted cardigan or warm romper underneath. The double mousseline provides more warmth than you might expect from such a light pair of pants. Consider the Cardigan Tulip for a complete winter look.
Which tops combine well?
The pants look lovely with a plain white or natural romper. See the Body Maaike romper in off white or the Romper Iris in oat — as also shown in the product photos. A light knitted top or cardigan also works well.
What other parents say
"Honestly, I didn’t expect a white pair of pants to make such an impression. But it is truly beautifully made. The material feels very nice and that ruffled edge is so lovely. Even after the first wash, it looks exactly the same."

Merinowool pacifier clip — soft, safe, and always at hand
About this product
Calm starts with the little things
As a neonatal nurse, I know how quickly a fallen pacifier can disturb a baby's calm. A pacifier clip may seem like a small detail — but in practice, it makes a big difference, for your baby and for you.
This pacifier clip is knitted from 100% superfine merinowool. If the cord touches your baby's face or hands, it always feels soft — never scratchy, never irritating. Merinowool is naturally temperature-regulating and breathable, so it remains comfortable even with prolonged wear.
Natural materials, thoughtful design
The clip is made of wood, with a safe metal clasp. No plastic, no sharp edges — only materials that suit a calm, natural environment for your child. The loop at the end fits almost all pacifiers, with or without a ring.
At home or on the go — you simply attach the pacifier clip to your baby's clothing and you're ready. Calm, practical, and just right.
An accessory you can trust
Check the pacifier clip for wear or damage before each use. Always use it under supervision and never in bed — this is the guideline we always provide as a brand, and one I wholeheartedly endorse as a nurse.

A soft layer of 100% Merinowool, with a little bear on the chest. Warm without overheating, light enough to move freely. At home and on the go.
Most parents wonder about the same thing at some point: is he too warm now, or actually too cold? You feel his neck, take off a layer, and half an hour later put it back on again. A baby cannot regulate their temperature yet — we do that with what we dress them in.
This vest takes most of that work off your hands. Merinowool responds to what is needed: when it is warm, it wicks away moisture; when it cools down, it retains warmth. Not because it is thick, but because that is how the fibre works. You notice the result mainly in your baby — less restless waking, fewer clammy backs, less dressing and undressing.
Sleeveless by design
The arms remain free. That is comfortable for a baby who is just starting to grasp, and it makes dressing and undressing easier. The vest goes over a sleepsuit, bodysuit or pyjamas and keeps warm exactly the part that cools down fastest: the back and chest.
The fastening is one wooden button with a loop. No zip along the chin, no row of snaps to work through with a wriggling little one.
The little bear
We attach the appliqué ourselves to every vest — one by one, by hand. That means the little bear is never positioned exactly the same way.
Young children look for familiar points of reference. They find the little bear with their fingers, again and again, and one day they start saying something about it. It is a small detail, but exactly the kind of detail that makes a garment feel like theirs.
Why parents choose it
- keeps temperature more consistent, so you need to change layers less often
- does not itch, even on sensitive skin
- free arms: your little one can move without restriction
- on in two seconds, with one button
- wool stays fresh for a long time, so you wash it less often
- fits over almost anything and adapts across the seasons
- the bear appliqué is attached by hand
Specifications
- Material: 100% Merinowool
- Certification: RWS (Responsible Wool Standard)
- Colour: beige with a subtle beige trim and bear appliqué
- Fastening: wooden button with loop
- Sizes: 62/68 — 74/80 — 86/92 — 98/104
- Size 98/104 with pockets
- Produced in Poland, in an authentic family-run business
- The bear appliqué is attached by hand at Moalie
- True to size, with enough room for a jumper underneath
Care instructions
- Wash as little as possible — airing is often enough, as wool is naturally self-cleaning
- If washing is necessary, hand washing is recommended
- Use a mild wool detergent
- Do not wring — gently press out the water
- Dry flat
- Never tumble dry
Frequently asked questions
Does Merinowool itch on sensitive skin?
Merino fibres are thinner than 20 microns — fine enough not to itch, even on sensitive skin. They bend with the skin rather than pressing against it. If your baby has reacted to wool before, Merinowool is generally the exception that is well tolerated. If in doubt, leave the vest on for an hour and check the skin afterwards.
What is RWS certification?
RWS stands for Responsible Wool Standard — an independent certification that checks whether the wool comes from sheep that are treated well and from farms that care responsibly for the land and nature. For Moalie, this is not a marketing term, but a minimum requirement.
Is wool not too warm indoors?
Merinowool works both ways. Indoors, it wicks away moisture and prevents your little one from becoming clammy. Especially when indoor temperatures fluctuate, it is more comfortable than fleece or a thick jumper.
Can Merinowool also be worn in summer?
Yes. Merinowool is not a winter-only fabric — it regulates in both directions. In summer, the fabric wicks away moisture and keeps the skin dry. The vest can serve as a light layer on cooler evenings or in air-conditioned spaces.
Which size should I choose?
The vest is true to size and has room for a layer underneath. If your little one is between two sizes, choose the larger one — a vest can be worn generously and will last longer. Size 98/104 has pockets.
Warm enough to make a difference. Light enough to stay out of the way.

The Power of Slowing Down: Why Doing Less Is Exactly What Your Baby Needs Right Now
An in-depth e-book on bottle aversion in babies – for parents who want to bring calm back to stressful feeding times.
Does your baby refuse a bottle? Does your little one turn their head away, cry at the sight of the bottle, or does every feeding seem like a struggle? Many parents call this bottle refusal . In healthcare, we often call it bottle aversion : a stress reaction surrounding feeding.
This e-book will help you understand what's going on and what you can do. Written by Daniëlle Kempers , a neonatal nurse and baby coach with years of experience supporting babies with feeding difficulties.
What is bottle refusal in babies?
Bottle refusal occurs when a baby refuses the bottle (partially or completely) even though there often appears to be nothing physically wrong. The baby may become angry, stiff, cry, or completely block feeding.
Bottle refusal almost always has a negative association with food . This can be caused by reflux, pain, pressure during feeding, or previous stressful experiences.
When do we speak of bottle aversion?
Bottle aversion is the underlying cause of bottle refusal. It's not "stubbornness," but a protective mechanism of the nervous system. The baby avoids feeding to avoid tension or pain.
In this e-book, you'll learn to recognize the difference between temporary bottle refusal and structural bottle aversion — and why the wrong approach can inadvertently exacerbate the problem.
Causes of bottle refusal
- Reflux or silent reflux
- Pain or discomfort during or after feeding
- Overstimulation or an overactive nervous system
- Too much pressure or expectations surrounding nutrition
- Previous negative feeding moments
What will you learn in this eBook?
- How to recognize if your baby has bottle refusal or bottle aversion
- What you should and shouldn't do when experiencing food-related stress
- How to make feeding safe and predictable for your baby again
- How you as a parent can respond more calmly and confidently
- When Professional Help Is Needed – And When Not
An alternative to a consultation process
This e-book has been developed as a stand-alone resource and can replace an individual consultation or coaching process for many parents.
If you later choose personal guidance, the purchase price of this e-book will be fully deducted from a coaching program.
An accessible first step, without being immediately committed to an intensive programme.
What parents say
These responses come from parents who received personal guidance. The e-book uses the same approach and explanation, but is designed for independent work.
"Great tips for the problems we're experiencing with bottle feeding; she took all the time for us. Highly recommended; you can ask her anything!"
One of my sons developed a massive bottle aversion after nine months of tube feeding. After trying everything, we stumbled upon this method. Thanks to Daniëlle, my son overcame his bottle aversion within two days. Giving him a bottle or practice snacks is now a huge joy for all of us!
Daniëlle is an incredibly skilled and excellent coach for infant feeding difficulties. We heard from others how good she is at her work and contacted her because our baby wasn't feeding and was spitting up a lot. She listened carefully and offered useful tips. We were able to come in quickly and had a good conversation. Shortly after, we received a treatment plan, and we saw results within a few days, which has changed our lives. We feel like she's the only one with experience working with babies with feeding difficulties. She acted faster than the doctors we'd previously seen at various hospitals. We felt heard and supported by her. Daniëlle is engaged and stayed in touch to discuss how our baby was doing.
"Excellent support, professional plan to work with. This helped our daughter overcome her bottle aversion, which she developed due to severe reflux and premature birth."
We struggled with this for months, spent a lot of time in the hospital, and ended up going home with a feeding tube. Educators, pediatricians, pre-verbal speech therapists: no one had the right information. We were desperate. Finally, we found Daniëlle through Instagram. We were skeptical at first, as we'd already seen so many caregivers. But after a phone call, we were excited about the plan. She's also incredibly knowledgeable about premature babies. I recommend Daniëlle's coaching to anyone with children who struggle with drinking. It's truly worthwhile!
A while ago, my wife contacted you about overcoming our youngest son's bottle aversion. We didn't know he had a bottle aversion for months and let it go for far too long. We noticed how little is known about it, both among parents and doctors. We've had several consultations in the Netherlands, Belgium, and even one in England. My wife has also read Rowena's book several times. But we were most impressed with the plan you gave us. It provided us with a lot of helpful information in a relatively simple way.
