Why merino wool

A newborn can't yet regulate their temperature well on their own. Merino wool breathes, draws moisture away and never feels clammy. So the head stays warm when it's chilly, without your baby getting too warm.

Care instructions
Hand wash in lukewarm water (max. 30°C) with a mild wool detergent. Dry flat, do not tumble dry.

Wool cleans itself. Often a little airing is all it needs.

Frequently asked questions

Can my baby sleep in a hat?

Not indoors. A baby actually loses excess heat through the head. Take the hat off when your baby sleeps indoors, and use it outside or in a cool room.

How do I know if my baby is warm enough?

Feel the back of the neck or between the shoulder blades, not the hands or feet. In a newborn, those almost always feel cooler. Warm and dry is good, clammy means too warm.

Doesn't wool feel itchy on the head?

No. We use extra-fine merino wool. The fibres are so fine that they bend against the skin and feel soft, even on a sensitive scalp.

Which size should I choose?

When will my order arrive?

We ship from the Netherlands: within the EU usually in 3 to 6 working days, to the UK in 4 to 8, and to the US and Canada in 7 to 14. Shipping is free from €150.

Can I return my purchase?

You can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt, and then have 14 days to send it back. The item must be unused and unwashed, with labels attached. Return shipping costs are at your own expense.
