"So soft your baby forgets it. So beautiful you remember it."
— Danielle, NICU nurse

What TOG rating does this sleeping bag have?

Merinowool does not have a fixed TOG rating. That is actually the advantage: wool adapts to your baby's temperature. You don't need separate summer and winter sleeping bags.

Does merinowool itch?

No. Merinowool has extremely fine fibers that bend with the skin instead of pricking. The teddy texture adds an extra layer of softness.

Can I use this sleeping bag all year round?

Yes. In summer, the wool breathes with you; in winter, it keeps you warm. One sleeping bag for all seasons.

How do I wash the sleeping bag?

Wool needs little washing; regular airing is usually sufficient. If necessary: wool wash program at a maximum of 30°C with wool detergent, do not spin, lay flat to dry.

Warmer than a blanket. Softer than you expect.

A baby who sleeps well is a baby who feels safe. Not too warm, not too cool — just right. That’s what merinowool does, and what no synthetic material can replicate.

This sleeping bag is made from 100% merinowool in a soft teddy texture, in a gentle pink with a warm bordeaux trim. Airy and soft on the outside, cozy on the inside.

No TOG. Just temperature regulation.

Sleeping bags made from synthetic materials and cotton have a fixed TOG rating: one sleeping bag for summer, another for winter. Merinowool works differently. It adapts: it wicks away heat when your baby gets warm, and insulates when it’s cold. One sleeping bag, usable all year round.

As a neonatal nurse, I see how important temperature regulation is for a newborn baby. Newborns can’t yet regulate their own temperature well. Merinowool takes over much of that for them.

Why parents choose this sleeping bag

  • No TOG choice needed — merinowool naturally regulates temperature, summer and winter
  • Soft teddy texture — airy and gentle, doesn’t itch the skin
  • Breathable — prevents overheating and sweating
  • 100% merinowool — no synthetic fibers, no additives
  • Made in the EU — Human Friendly ECO and REACH certified
  • Practical zipper system — opens from top to bottom for easy changing

Made by a family who knows wool from the inside out

This sleeping bag is made by a family business in Eastern Europe — a region with a long tradition in wool craftsmanship. For two generations, this family has handcrafted wool products without synthetic fibers, without compromising on quality.

What sets them apart: they work exclusively with 100% pure wool, and every product is finished as it should be: with attention to detail you feel as soon as you hold it. The wool is certified through the 'Human Friendly ECO' program, which after extensive testing confirms the fibers are completely natural and free from synthetic additives. Also REACH certified, with Woolmark certification pending.

For Moalie, this was exactly the partner we were looking for: a company where craftsmanship and integrity are not marketing terms, but simply the way they work.

Our pure merino wool and cashmere are so pure that they don't need to be washed before first use. The natural lanolin provides self-cleaning properties; often, a quick airing outside in the crisp morning air is enough to refresh the fibers.

Founder Note

"I don't believe in fleeting trends or the abundance of plastic in the nursery. Our collection was born from a practical need: items that do what they're supposed to do, without compromising your child's health.

Natural fibers are key here. Synthetic materials often seal against the skin, while merino wool and cashmere breathe and regulate temperature. This prevents overheating and irritation, which is essential for healthy sleep.

No harmful chemicals, no unnecessary details, and no flashy colors. Only the finest materials that last for years and retain their value. Honest textiles that contribute to a healthy start, without any fuss.
