Koude ochtenden, even naar buiten

Een peuter die buiten speelt, heeft het ene moment koude oortjes en het volgende moment een warm hoofd. Rennen, klimmen, dan weer stilzitten in de buggy.

Waarom merinowol

Merinowol neemt vocht op en voert het af, zodat het hoofd niet klam wordt. Het houdt warm als het koud is en blijft ademen als je kind in beweging is.

De vezel is fijn en zacht. Hij kriebelt niet zoals grove wol en voelt ook prettig op een gevoelige huid.

De krullende teddystructuur voelt licht en zacht aan. De brede rand valt rustig rond het gezicht en houdt wind en kou tegen.

A day with a baby is full of changes. You sit still for half an hour while feeding and cool down. A little later, you’re carrying things around, walking up and down the stairs, and suddenly you’re too warm. A jacket is too much indoors, a cardigan gets in the way, and turning up the heating only solves half the problem.

Merinowool adapts to those changes. The fibre wicks away moisture when you get warm and retains heat when you’re sitting still. You notice it mostly through what doesn’t happen: no clammy back when you’re on the move, no chill during that long half hour on the sofa.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose?
The gilet fits true to size and leaves room for a jumper underneath. If you prefer a roomier fit, or would like to wear it during pregnancy, choose one size larger.

Doesn’t merino wool itch?
Merino fibres are thinner than 20 microns — fine enough not to itch, even directly against the skin. That is the difference compared with ordinary sheep’s wool.

Can I wear it in summer too?
Yes. Merinowool regulates in both directions. In summer, the fabric wicks away moisture and keeps you dry — comfortable on cooler evenings or in air-conditioned spaces.

Can I wear it during pregnancy?
Absolutely. Choose one size larger, so you can continue wearing it comfortably afterwards too.

What is RWS certification?
RWS stands for Responsible Wool Standard — an independent certification that checks whether the wool comes from sheep treated well and from farms that care responsibly for the land and nature. For Moalie, it is not a marketing term, but a minimum requirement.
