Over dit product

Your baby's eyes are up to 70% more sensitive to UV radiation than those of adults. That is why proper protection is important as soon as your little one is outdoors.

These lightweight baby sunglasses protect against bright sunlight from the very first months without pressure points or hard temples. The flexible frame and soft silicone strap ensure the glasses stay comfortable – even while playing, walking, or sleeping in the stroller.

Why parents choose these baby sunglasses

  • 100% UV400 protection – completely blocks UVA and UVB radiation
  • Soft and flexible frame – bends along with your baby’s face
  • Comfort without pinching – ultra-light and safe for sensitive skin
  • Stays in place – thanks to the soft, stretchy silicone strap
  • Safe material – BPA-free and CE-certified according to EU standards

What age are these sunglasses suitable for?

These sunglasses are designed for babies aged approximately 3 to 18 months.

The silicone strap has a circumference of about 42 cm when resting and stretches comfortably up to about 46 cm. This corresponds to the average head circumference of babies in this age range.

Because every baby's head grows differently, the fit may vary slightly from child to child. In doubt? Look not only at the age but also at your child's head circumference.

When should you use baby sunglasses?

These sunglasses are great for daily use in sunlight, for example:

  • in the stroller
  • on vacation
  • on the bike
  • during sunny days in spring and summer

Combine with a sun hat or light clothing for complete sun protection.

Does a baby really need sunglasses?

Yes. Baby eyes still barely filter UV radiation. Without protection, sunlight reaches the retina directly, which can cause long-term damage.

These sunglasses offer UV400 protection without pressure points or hard edges. This is how you protect your child's eyes in a comfortable way from the first months.

Myth: does your baby burn faster with sunglasses?

It is sometimes claimed on social media that sunglasses cause your baby to burn faster because the eyes would then not send a "sunlight signal." This claim is scientifically incorrect.

Facts according to, among others, Full Fact, Science Feedback, and Cambridge researchers:

  • melanin, your natural protection against the sun, is produced by the skin itself and not via the eyes
  • sunglasses have no influence on the skin's UVB sensitivity
  • the eyes do not send a "sun signal" to the skin or pigment cells

Ophthalmologist Dr. Deepti Mehta puts it this way: "Sunglasses do not cause sunburn. Your skin burns due to UVB radiation – regardless of what your eyes see."

Conclusion: sunglasses protect the eyes and have no negative effect on the skin. Always combine with a sun hat or shade for optimal protection.
