For a retailer, materials are more than a story. They are what customers feel, wash and come back for. This page explains what Moalie works with, and which standards sit behind it.

Merino wool

Fine merino wool is the heart of the collection: breathable, temperature-regulating and naturally moisture-managing, and soft against delicate skin. It is used across hats, booties, knitwear, snuggles, sleeping bags and blankets: pieces made for daily use, in every season.

Merino & cashmere

Selected pieces are knitted from a blend of 90% merino wool and 10% cashmere: lighter and softer still, with a refined handfeel that suits premium boutiques. The blend is used for our 3-in-1 Blanket, knitwear, bodies, hats and booties.

Certifications & standards

• Mulesing-free: our merino wool comes from farms that do not practise mulesing.
• OEKO-TEX® Standard 100: the wool fibres we use are OEKO-TEX® certified. To be precise, this certification applies to the wool fibre itself; not every finished garment carries its own separate certificate. We would rather be exact about this than make claims we cannot back up.
• Responsible Wool Standard (RWS): certificate details are available on request.
• Merino Sleeping Bag & gilets: 100% merino wool, RWS certified, made in Poland by a family business.

Production

Moalie works with a specialised manufacturer experienced in premium baby textiles, and our sleeping bags and gilets are made by a family business in Poland with a long tradition in wool. For retailers, this means consistent quality and transparent documentation: certificates and supporting documents for your market are available on request.
